TODAY Compliant LLC
Effective Date: September 28, 2026 · Last Updated: September 28, 2026
Key terms at a glance
- Posting is free. On the Basic plan, a temporary $100 card hold confirms your card before a project goes live. We never charge or keep it.
- Member Contractors can see your phone number and email address for the project and may contact you about it. They do not see your name or street address.
- Post only real projects, described accurately, that you are allowed to have done.
- You choose whom to hire. Ask for current insurance and license documents before any work starts. We do not run background checks.
- Labor and staffing requests must follow employment and labor-agency laws. The poster, not TODAY Compliant, is responsible to the workers.

1. About These Terms
1.1 These Project Posting Terms ("Posting Terms") are between TODAY Compliant LLC, an Illinois limited liability company ("TODAY Compliant," "we," "us," or "our"), and anyone who posts a project on todaycompliant.com (the "Platform") ("you" or "Client").
1.2 They add to our Client Membership Agreement, Terms of Service, Code of Conduct, and Privacy Policy, which also apply. These Posting Terms govern what you post. The Client Membership Agreement governs your account, plan, and fees.
1.3 You accept these Posting Terms by checking the acceptance box when you post a project. They replace the earlier "TODAYcompliant Projects Submission Customer Agreement."
2. Who May Post
You may post a project if you are at least 18 years old, have a Client account, and are the owner of the property or project, or are authorized by the owner to arrange the work (for example, as a property manager, tenant with permission, general contractor, business, or staffing company).
3. How Posting Works
3.1 Free to post. Posting a project is free. On the Basic plan, we place a temporary $100 authorization hold on your card and confirm it before the project is published. We never charge, capture, or keep it, and it is released automatically, usually within 7 days. See Section 5 of the Client Membership Agreement. No hold is placed while you have an active Pro Plan.
3.2 Publishing. Once the hold is confirmed (or your Pro Plan is active), your project is published to the Leadboard™, where Contractors with an active membership can view it.
3.3 How long it stays up. A project stays active for 30 days. Before it expires, we may email you to renew it. If you do not renew it, it is archived and no longer shown on the Leadboard.
3.4 Updating and closing. You may edit or close a project at any time from your dashboard. Please close it, or mark it filled, as soon as you no longer need Contractors to contact you.
3.5 No guarantee of response. Contractors decide for themselves which projects to pursue. We do not guarantee that any Contractor will contact you, or how many will.
4. What Your Project Must Include
4.1 Accuracy. Describe the work honestly and in enough detail for a Contractor to decide whether to contact you, including the trades needed, location (ZIP code), timeline, and budget range. Update the project if anything important changes.
4.2 Optional fields.
- Labor preference (for example union, non-union, or either): shows the preference you state. You are responsible for making sure your preference and your hiring decisions follow applicable law.
- RFP flag: a label telling Contractors that you are requesting formal proposals. It is informational only. TODAY Compliant does not receive, manage, or evaluate proposals.
- Budget range: an estimate. It is not an offer or a price, and Contractors set their own prices.
4.3 Keep personal details out of the description. Do not put your name, street address, phone number, email address, or anyone else's personal information in the project title, description, or photos. Contractors receive your contact details separately, as described in Section 5.
4.4 Known hazards. Tell Contractors about known hazards they would need to plan for, such as pets, damaged structures, or materials that may contain asbestos or lead. Contractors remain responsible for their own safety practices and legal requirements.
5. How Contractors Contact You
5.1 What Contractors see. Contractors with an active membership who view your project can see the phone number and email address you provide for the project. They do not see your name or the project's street address. Visitors who are not signed in may see a limited example of your project, without any contact details or street address.
5.2 Your agreement to be contacted. By posting a project, you agree that Contractors with an active membership may contact you by phone call or email about that project. This agreement covers contact about your project only. It does not permit text messages, autodialed or prerecorded calls, or marketing about other services, unless you separately agree to them with a Contractor.
5.3 Asking a Contractor to stop. You may tell any Contractor to stop contacting you, and they must stop. Closing or marking your project filled stops new Contractors from seeing your contact details. If a Contractor keeps contacting you after you ask them to stop, or misuses your information, report it to legal@todaycompliant.com.
5.4 We do not sell your information. TODAY Compliant does not sell or share your contact details with anyone other than member Contractors viewing your project. Contractors are prohibited from selling, sharing, or reusing them.
5.5 Calls from us. By giving us a phone number, you also agree that TODAY Compliant may call you from time to time about our business, as described in Section 9.3 of our Privacy Policy.
6. Insurance, Licenses, and Choosing a Contractor
Before you hire anyone: TODAY Compliant does not run background checks, does not recommend Contractors, and does not decide whether a Contractor's insurance or licenses are right for your project. Ask the Contractor for current certificates of insurance and licenses, check references, and put your agreement in writing before any work begins.
6.1 What "Verified" means. A Contractor's Verified status means only that a document the Contractor submitted met our published checklist on the date shown. See our Compliance Standards. It describes documents, not people, and documents can lapse or change after our review.
6.2 Insurance adequacy is your decision. You see a Contractor's Verified status and review date, not the documents. Whether a Contractor's insurance and licensing are adequate for your project is your decision and responsibility.
6.3 Acknowledgment. We may ask you to confirm that you have read this Section when you post a project and when you first view a Contractor's contact details.
6.4 Your agreement with the Contractor. Any agreement for work, including price, scope, schedule, payment, permits, and warranties, is between you and the Contractor. TODAY Compliant is not a party to it, does not handle payments, and does not supervise or guarantee the work. Some laws require a written contract for home repair or remodeling work.
7. Labor and Staffing Projects
7.1 What these are. A labor project asks for workers rather than a completed job, including day or temporary labor. Staffing companies and other businesses may post labor projects as Clients.
7.2 TODAY Compliant is not a labor agency or employer. TODAY Compliant does not hire, employ, recruit, refer, or place any worker, is not a day and temporary labor service agency, and is not an employer of anyone who responds to or works on any project.
7.3 Your responsibilities. If you post a labor project, you confirm and agree that:
- you hold every registration or license the law requires for your business, including, if it applies to you, registration under the Illinois Day and Temporary Labor Services Act (820 ILCS 175) or similar laws in other states;
- you alone are responsible, as employer or placing agency, for the workers' wages, taxes, workers' compensation, safety, transportation, and every other legal obligation you owe them;
- your project follows equal-opportunity and fair-employment laws and states no preference or limit based on any characteristic protected by law;
- your project includes any pay, benefits, or other information the law requires in a job posting, and is accurate; and
- you will not include personal information about individual workers in the project.
8. Projects That Are Not Allowed
You may not post a project that:
- is not real, is a test, or is posted to collect Contractors' contact information, quotes, or ideas without a genuine intention to hire;
- is posted by or for a lead-generation, marketing, or referral company, or advertises products or services instead of requesting work;
- requests work that is illegal, or asks a Contractor to skip a license, permit, inspection, or safety requirement the law requires;
- is for property or work you are not authorized to arrange;
- discriminates, or states any preference or limit based on a characteristic protected by law;
- contains false, misleading, offensive, obscene, or threatening content, or content about other users;
- repeats a project you have already posted, or posts the same project many times to gain visibility; or
- breaks our Terms of Service or Code of Conduct.
9. Photos and Content Rules
9.1 Photos. You may add photos of the work area, up to the number the posting form allows. Photos must show the project. Do not include people's faces, vehicle license plates, house numbers, street signs, documents, mail, or other personal information. We do not use facial recognition and do not collect biometric information from any photo.
9.2 Your rights. You must own your photos and text or have permission to post them, including permission from anyone shown.
9.3 License. Your project content is covered by the license in Section 11 of the Client Membership Agreement. That license lets us display your project to member Contractors, show limited examples of projects without contact details or street address, and operate and promote the Platform. It ends when you remove the content or close your account, subject to that Section.
10. Our Review and Removal of Projects
10.1 We may review projects before or after they are published, but we are not required to, and we do not check that project information is accurate.
10.2 We may edit formatting, remove personal information you placed in a description or photo, decline to publish, or remove any project that we reasonably believe breaks these Posting Terms, our other policies, or the law. We will tell you when we remove a project, unless the law or a safety concern prevents it.
10.3 Repeated or serious violations may lead to suspension or closure of your account under the Client Membership Agreement.
10.4 Optional sponsored or featured placement, if offered, is governed by Section 7 of the Client Membership Agreement and will be labeled as sponsored.
11. Other Terms
11.1 Disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and disputes. Sections 14 (Disclaimers), 15 (Limitation of Liability), 16 (Indemnification), and 17 (Disputes and Governing Law) of the Client Membership Agreement apply to these Posting Terms and to every project you post. Disputes are resolved under Section 20 of the Terms of Service, including binding individual arbitration and a class action waiver. These Posting Terms are governed by Illinois law.
11.2 Changes. We may update these Posting Terms. We will post the updated version with a new Last Updated date and email account holders at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. Changes apply to projects posted or renewed after the change takes effect.
11.3 Copyright complaints. To report content that you believe infringes your copyright, follow the notice procedure in our Terms of Service.
