Code of Conduct

Last updated September 28, 2026.

TODAY Compliant LLC

Effective Date: September 28, 2026 · Last Updated: September 28, 2026

TODAY Compliant is a marketplace where Clients post projects and Contractors decide for themselves which projects to pursue. Clients and Contractors then work directly with each other. This Code of Conduct sets the standards we expect from everyone who uses the Platform, so that those dealings start and stay on good terms.

In an emergency, call 911. TODAY Compliant does not supervise work, visit job sites, or provide emergency help. If you feel unsafe, leave the situation and contact local authorities first.

Contents

1. Who This Code Applies To

1.1 This Code applies to everyone who uses todaycompliant.com and its related pages and dashboards (the "Platform"), including:

  • Clients: property owners, property managers, businesses, staffing companies, and others who post projects; and
  • Contractors: independent businesses that hold a membership, including their owners, employees, and subcontractors.

1.2 It covers conduct on the Platform and conduct toward other users that arises from a connection made through the Platform, such as calls, emails, site visits, and work on a project.

1.3 This Code is part of our Terms of Service and the Contractor Membership Agreement. If this Code conflicts with either, that agreement controls.

2. Our Core Values

2.1 Be respectful

Treat each other, and each other's homes, businesses, and property, with respect. If a disagreement comes up, work to resolve it calmly and directly.

2.2 Be fair

Contractors: provide good service and quality work at the price you quoted, and explain any change in price or scope before doing the work.

Clients: be considerate of Contractors' time and costs, describe your project accurately, and pay for work as agreed.

2.3 Be professional

Present yourself and your business professionally. Communicate clearly. Put agreements about price, scope, schedule, and payment in writing, and follow any law that requires a written contract for the work.

2.4 Be honest

Contractors: describe your business, licenses, and insurance accurately. Say so if a job is outside your skills, trades, or licensing. Never claim to be "certified," "approved," "vetted," or "background-checked" by TODAY Compliant.

Clients: post only real projects you intend to pursue, and let Contractors know if a project is filled, postponed, or cancelled.

Everyone: honor your agreements, and speak up early if something is not going as planned.

2.5 Be reliable

Respond within a reasonable time, using the contact method the other person chose. Show up on time for appointments, or give notice as early as you can if you cannot. Do not leave anyone wondering whether you are coming.

2.6 Be safe

Follow safety rules and good practice for the work. Contractors are responsible for the safety of their crews and job sites. Clients should tell Contractors about hazards they know of, such as pets, damaged structures, or materials that may contain asbestos or lead.

2.7 Protect privacy

Use another user's contact information only for the project it was shared for. Do not sell, share, or add it to a marketing list. Do not text someone or make automated calls to them unless they have agreed. Stop contacting anyone who asks you to stop.

2.8 Be inclusive

Welcome every Client and Contractor on equal terms. Section 4 explains our nondiscrimination policy.

3. Conduct That Is Not Allowed

You may not use the Platform, or a connection made through it, to:

  • harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or abuse anyone, or use hateful, obscene, or sexually explicit language or images;
  • discriminate, as described in Section 4;
  • commit fraud, including fake projects, bait-and-switch pricing, taking payment without intending to do the work, or requesting payment in ways meant to avoid accountability;
  • submit a false, altered, or borrowed license, certificate of insurance, or other document, or misstate your credentials;
  • perform work without a license, permit, or insurance the law requires, or allow anyone to work while impaired by alcohol or drugs;
  • damage, take, or misuse anyone's property, or enter property without permission;
  • misuse, sell, share, or collect in bulk anyone's contact information or personal information;
  • post content that is false or misleading, infringes someone else's rights, or shows people's faces, license plates, house numbers, or personal documents without permission;
  • post, buy, or arrange fake reviews, or offer anything of value for a positive review;
  • spam other users, or use the Platform to advertise unrelated products or services;
  • get around Hold Status, access limits, or security, share an account, or use bots or scrapers; or
  • break any law in connection with the Platform or a project.

4. Nondiscrimination

4.1 Our policy. TODAY Compliant does not tolerate discrimination. You may not treat anyone differently, refuse to deal with anyone, post a project, or set terms based on race, color, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital or family status, physical or mental disability, military or veteran status, source of income, economic or social class, political belief, or any other characteristic protected by law.

4.2 Legitimate business reasons. Contractors may decline projects for legitimate, non-discriminatory reasons, such as capacity, schedule, trade, licensing, insurance limits, location, safety, or price. Clients may choose among Contractors for similar reasons, including skills, credentials, availability, and price.

4.3 Accessibility. Where the law requires, make reasonable accommodations, such as communicating in an accessible way, for a person with a disability.

4.4 Labor and staffing projects. Projects that request workers must follow all equal-opportunity and fair-employment laws. They must not state any preference or limit based on a protected characteristic.

5. Honest Reviews

5.1 If you review a Contractor or Client anywhere, including on third-party sites whose reviews we may display, be honest and describe your own experience.

5.2 Do not write reviews of your own business or a competitor's, pay or offer anything for a review, threaten anyone over an honest review, or pressure anyone to change or remove one.

6. Reporting a Concern

6.1 If you believe someone has broken this Code, email legal@todaycompliant.com with the names or account details involved, what happened, when, and any messages, photos, or documents that help explain it.

6.2 We handle reports as confidentially as we reasonably can. We may need to share some details to look into a report, to take action, or where the law requires. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who makes a report in good faith. Knowingly false reports are themselves a violation of this Code.

6.3 For disputes about work, payment, or a contract, try first to resolve the matter directly with the other party. TODAY Compliant does not mediate or decide disputes between users. Your local consumer protection office, licensing board, or small claims court may be able to help.

7. How We Respond

7.1 When we learn of a possible violation, we may, in our reasonable judgment and without any obligation to do so:

  • ask the people involved for information;
  • give a warning;
  • remove or edit content;
  • place an account on Hold Status or suspend it while we look into the matter;
  • end a membership or close an account, under the Terms of Service or the Contractor Membership Agreement; and
  • report conduct to licensing boards or law enforcement, or cooperate with their requests.

7.2 What we do depends on the seriousness of the conduct, the information available, and any history. Serious violations, such as threats, violence, fraud, discrimination, or false documents, may lead to immediate removal from the Platform.

7.3 We generally do not share the outcome of a report with the person who made it, to protect everyone's privacy.

7.4 If we take action on your account and you believe we made a mistake, email legal@todaycompliant.com within 14 days. We will review the information you send and tell you our decision.

8. What This Code Does Not Do

8.1 This Code states our expectations. It does not make TODAY Compliant responsible for any user's conduct, work, or statements. We do not monitor users, supervise work, visit job sites, or run background checks, and we cannot guarantee that every user will follow this Code.

8.2 Our decision to act, or not to act, on any report is within our discretion and does not create any duty to you or anyone else. This Code does not give any user or third party a right to enforce it against TODAY Compliant or another user.

8.3 A Contractor's Verified status means only that a document met our published checklist on the date shown. See our Compliance Standards. It says nothing about a person's conduct or character.

9. Changes and Contact

9.1 We may update this Code. We will post the updated version with a new Last Updated date and give notice of material changes as described in the Terms of Service.
