TODAYcompliant.com is a contractor marketplace and project Leadboard™ whereby people and companies can register, create a profile, search and post a project to our project load board 100% free. We DO NOT leads or sell your information. we are NOT a lead generation platform.
For contractors, we are a 3rd party compliance platform that uses tools to verify the business is in good standing, licensed, insured, bonded and presents their best reputation in order to grow their business. As part of being a member of TODAYcompliant.com, they have EXCLUSIVE access to the project Leadboard™ that households and businesses are using.
It is a win-win for all. A person looking for a project to be completed at their home or place of business can post, for free, the project onto the project Leadboard™ knowing ONLY verified, compliant contractors are the only ones that will respond with interest to provide a quote. ONLY Pro contractor members of TODAYcompliant can access the Leadboard™.
1) DO NOT take photos created or altered by AI. TODAYcompliant will reject them.
2) Make sure things are not blocked by clutter or objects as best as possible. Ex: remove all items from under your sink and then take the photo of the plumbing work underneath that needs a leak fixed.
3) Make sure to hold your smartphone or camera horizontally (landscape) for each and every shot that you take. This format allows more of the subject matter to be seen, and enables us to nicely crop and arrange the photos for your listing if needed. Many modern smartphones include multiple zoom modes that allow you to switch between wide angle, standard, and telephoto lenses. For shooting your items, we suggest sticking to “standard” mode (1x) for the majority of the gallery, and limiting wide angle use to tight interior spaces. If you find yourself needing to zoom in or out, pause and instead take a few steps forward or backward.
4) Digital photos are free, and people ‘buy with the eye’ usually. Start with 5-10 overview photos of the project that show the entire project in the frame with some space to spare around it. Stand about ten feet back and take photos of each possible angle and angled shots of the project. For a lawn or larger project shot, ensure as best as possible to include it all. A satellite overhead image may help as well. Go to Google maps for that. Take 1-3 detailed photos of areas you believe to be important in your project as well. Pictures of specialty help, ex: special screw head types, patterns, bricks, etc. Get the details. Most projects will need only 3-10 photos.
5) Show scale where possible with a tape measure or common object handy such as a soda can or other standard sized object.
6) Photo access points clearly, such as how to get to the electrical panel, a crawlspace, or roof access. Try to include the surrounding area as best as possible so contractors can see possible issues as they plan for time and equipment needed.
7) Avoid including photos with visible personal information, mailing addresses on packages, license plates, faces of people, etc.
8) Here are some upload key points.
In summary, the more accurate and complete your photos, the more competitive and realistic the bids and interest you’ll receive.
FREE for a person who is posting a project to the project Leadboard™. There is a simple login process and a simple profile creation, like many websites. We do not charge for this. There is an upgrade option available if you would like to manage multiple contractors (over 6) and other components. Examples of this include a person that may own 4 rental units and would like a simple to use tool to manage their key 6 contractors on a regular basis for projects to a person that manages 3 commercial strip centers for a client and needs to manage 9 regularly used contractors from plumbing and light electrical to landscaping and mowing.
TODAYcompliant.com costs $47/month and includes two critical for business functions; 3rd party continuing compliance verification and provision of tools to ensure processing a COI request for new clients is as easy as putting on a pair of safety glasses and EXCLUSIVE access to the TODAYcompliant.com project Leadboard™, where posts are vetted via a $100 refundable swipe, NOT leads sold to multiple contractors. The Leadboard™ is continually being updated with residential, commercial, and industrial opportunities that span from a 911 type emergency to a long term construction engagement and everything in between. Welcome to the future of procuring jobs! Stop paying for garbage leads.
No. TODAYcompliant does not sell, rent, or share your personal information, project details, or contact data with third parties for marketing or resale purposes. Unlike many lead-generation platforms, we don’t profit by selling your information to multiple competing contractors or outside companies.
Your information is used only to:
We believe trust is the foundation of a good marketplace, and that means your data stays yours, not a product we sell.
We use trusted service providers (e.g., payment processing via Stripe, verification tools, including real phone calls to insurance agents) solely to operate the platform — they don’t use your data for their own marketing.
Posting a project on the TODAYcompliant Leadboard™ is always free. There is no charge to create and publish a standard project listing.
To verify you’re a legitimate poster interested in hiring a contractor and reduce spam on the platform, we place a temporary $100 card hold through Stripe when you publish a post. This is not a charge — it’s a hold on your card, similar to what you’d see when checking into a hotel or renting a car.
The $100 hold is fully refundable and will be released automatically within 7 days, regardless of the outcome of your post. It will never convert into an actual charge. Your post stays live for 30 days, unless you remove it. It does not auto renew after the 30 days.
NOTE: If you are managing 6 or more contractors and paying a monthly fee, posting a project does NOT require a $100 swipe fee each time. You are considered a verified client.
If you’d like more visibility for your project, you can optionally upgrade to a Sponsored Post, which boosts your listing’s placement and exposure to Contractors on the platform. Sponsored upgrades are billed and processed separately from the $100 hold, and are entirely optional — your project will still be posted and visible without it.
In short:
Further, this signals to contractors that you are serious about a project, and will be more willing to invest their time and energy into making an appointment, reviewing the project, and providing an estimate.
The card swipe intent is a core part of why our project LeadBoard™ works. Other sites grab your name, email, and maybe phone number, sell it to 2-7 or more contractors for anywhere from $10-$95 or more, and do not care about the outcome. It is also why so many people are frustrated with those sites.
We only allow verified & compliant contractors to use the Leadboard™, and your $100 refundable swipe ensures you are not wasting your time or theirs. Another win-win for all.
Every Contractor on TODAYcompliant goes through a compliance verification process before they’re approved to contact clients on projects or appear in searches in the Contractor directory.
As part of this process, Contractors submit:
This documentation is reviewed against our compliance requirements before a Contractor is approved. Once approved, we continue to monitor license and insurance expiration dates. If a Contractor’s license or insurance lapses, their access to connect on new projects is automatically suspended until updated documentation is submitted and verified.
This means when you see a Contractor on TODAYcompliant, you can be confident they’ve passed our verification process — not just at signup, but on an ongoing basis.
Contractors also have internal tools to provide an updated COI (certificate of insurance) to anyone with a few presses of buttons.
Why is this important to you? Any work carries risks. Ensuring a contractor that is on your roof, in your trees, in your electrical box, or up on a 30’ ladder is insured is probably the MOST important element of hiring a contractor. It is terrifying hiring a person to do a job in the first place. Get the ultimate peace of mind knowing they are verified and compliant.
TODAYcompliant is a marketplace platform — we provide the tools to connect you with verified, compliant Contractors, but we are not involved in the hiring decision, the contract terms, or the performance of the work itself. The choice of which Contractor to hire, and the agreement you make with them, is between you and the Contractor directly.
If you’re not satisfied with a Contractor’s work, we encourage you to:
While TODAYcompliant verifies Contractor licensing, insurance, and compliance status before they’re listed on the platform, we do not guarantee or warrant the quality, timeliness, or outcome of any work performed. We’re a Leadboard™ that presents your project to our network of verified Contractors — the final hiring decision and working relationship are yours to manage.
Whether you’re a homeowner posting a small residential repair, a property manager handling light commercial buildouts, or a facilities manager coordinating heavy industrial work, TODAYcompliant connects you with verified Contractors qualified to bid on your specific type of project.
When posting a project, Clients can specify the project category and scope, helping ensure the listing reaches Contractors with the right trade expertise and classification (residential, commercial, or industrial; union or non-union) to bid competitively.
Any property owner, property manager, facilities manager, business owner, HOA, general contractor, or authorized representative looking to hire a contractor for a project can post on TODAYcompliant. This includes individuals and organizations posting residential, commercial, or industrial projects of any scale.
To post a project, you’ll need to:
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to request work on the property or project you’re posting (e.g., as the owner, an authorized property manager, or a representative of the business or organization involved). You must be authorized as the representative of the work being requested.
By paying $47 per month as a client;
Typical users include clients who need verified, compliant independent contractors for property-related work — here’s a full target user list:
Property Ownership & Management
Facilities & Maintenance
Commercial & Institutional
Construction & Development
Government & Municipal
Residential — Non-Landlord
The common thread across all of them is: they hire independent contractors regularly, they have liability exposure if those contractors aren’t properly insured/documented, and they’d pay for a platform that removes that compliance burden. This is WHY you use TODAYcompliant.
Anyone who could be sued because an uninsured contractor got hurt on their property.
1) DO NOT take photos created or altered by AI. TODAYcompliant will reject them.
2) Make sure things are clean and organized. Your work vehicle, clothing, desks, workshop, parking lot. You are allowed to submit updated photos. Our verification process scans for content in the photos. Poor quality will be rejected.
3) Make sure to hold your smartphone or camera horizontally (landscape) for each and every shot that you take. This format allows more of the subject matter to be seen, and enables us to nicely crop and arrange the photos for your listing.
Start with 12-15 overview photos of the project that show the entire project in the frame with some space to spare around it. Stand about ten feet back and take photos of each possible angle and angled shots of the project. For a vehicle shot, ensure the hood, trunk, and all doors are closed for these shots. Take 1-3 detailed photos of areas you believe to be important in your craftmanship.

We suggest a few ‘before and after’ photos as well, along with details about why you are a standout Pro conctractor.
TODAYcompliant’s compliance verification process focuses on the core documentation needed to confirm a Contractor is qualified and authorized to perform work in their trade. This includes:
License Verification
Insurance Verification
Certification Verification
Ongoing Monitoring
What TODAYcompliant does not verify:
TODAYcompliant’s verification process confirms that submitted documentation is current and matches stated requirements at the time of review.
It does not constitute a guarantee of a Contractor’s workmanship, business practices, financial standing, or the outcome of any project.
Clients are encouraged to perform their own due diligence in addition to relying on TODAYcompliant’s verification process.
In most cases, TODAYcompliant’s compliance verification process takes 24–48 hours once a Contractor submits all required documentation (license, insurance, and certifications, where applicable).
In some cases, verification may take longer if we need to confirm information directly with a licensing board, insurance carrier, or other third-party office. Response times from these outside offices are outside of TODAYcompliant’s control, and delays on their end may extend the overall verification timeline beyond the standard 24–48 hour window. Weekends excluded, as most insurance companies do not work on weekends.
To help keep your verification on track, make sure all submitted documents are current, legible, and complete before submitting — incomplete or unclear submissions are one of the most common causes of delay.
TODAYcompliant proactively tracks the expiration dates of all licenses, insurance policies, and certifications on file for each Contractor. As your expiration date approaches, you’ll receive automated alerts at 60 days, 30 days, and 10 days before expiration, giving you ample time to renew and submit updated documentation.
If your documentation expires without an updated submission or your subscription billing fails:
TODAYcompliant’s role in this notification is informational only. As a marketplace platform, we are not a party to any agreement between a Client and a Contractor. It is solely up to the Client and Contractor to determine how to proceed with any existing bid, agreement, or in-progress project based on the terms they’ve established between themselves.
Once you submit updated, valid documentation, your Hold Status is lifted as quickly as possible — typically within 24–48 hours of resubmission, consistent with our standard verification timeline. Your profile visibility and ability to bid on and accept projects will be restored once Hold Status is lifted.
We recommend renewing licenses, insurance, and certifications well before their expiration date to avoid any interruption to your visibility and ability to bid on projects.
Yes. TODAYcompliant charges Contractors $47/month for full access to the Platform. This includes:
Billing Terms
There is no long-term contract or commitment required to join TODAYcompliant. Billing operates on a simple month-to-month basis:
TODAYcompliant’s reputation system displays two separate sources of feedback on each Contractor’s profile:
These two rating sources are kept separate, not combined into a single blended score. This gives Clients a clearer, more transparent view of feedback from each source individually, rather than one averaged number that obscures where the feedback is coming from.
All review data shown is for use within TODAYcompliant.com only — it’s displayed on Contractor profiles for Clients browsing the Platform, and is not exported or shared outside the site.
As we continue to develop the Platform, our internal review system is being built with safeguards to verify and vet reviews, helping prevent bot activity, fraudulent reviews, and pay-to-play manipulation. We consider the integrity of our reviews and ratings system to be one of the most important features of TODAYcompliant, and we’re continually working to strengthen it.
Not yet — but it’s coming. TODAYcompliant is planning to launch a Social Media & Digital Reputation Division to help Contractors strengthen their online presence, manage reviews, and stay active on social media.
In the meantime, focus on building your profile and reputation directly on TODAYcompliant through verified compliance status and Client reviews. We’ll announce these additional services as they become available.
